Nú vaknar þú
allt virðist vera breytt
ég gægist út
en er svo ekki neitt
úr-skóna finn svo
á náttfötum hún
í draumi fann svo
ég hékk á koðnun?
Same here. I know the alphabet and most of the keyboard shortcuts for the special characters, and I can pronounce most words I read, it's just not nearly enough.
Indeed. Why don’t you just switch the keyboard? there’s no need to learn the shortcuts…I found the pronounciation to be reasonable considering….
If you’ve listened to the new Crystal Castles album (tragically named ‘Crystal Castles’ just like their debut) then you’ll know that the version of this song on the album doesn’t feature Robert Smith. To be honest, it’s not one of the stand-out tracks on the album, and it’s kinda on the verge of annoying. I mean, there is only so much incoherent baby-type singing that one can take. And the riff is awfully repetitive. Add to it the fact that it’s a cover of a not-so-great 80s song and it could spell trouble
But this version of the song is just something else. There is something in Smith’s voice that works better with this song. As well as that, it helps that they changed the synths up in the chorus. On the album verison nothing changes and the drums and synths stay the same but on this one the new, kinda windy-ish sounding (it sounds like a strong gust of wind, ok?) synths in the chorus work wonders. They really hammer home idea that he’s not in love etc etc…
What with my iPod being broken I’ve been listening to the radio on the way to and from school. The actual state of Irish radio. There are about two channels that I can listen to (and one of them is pretty awful itself). Phantom usually play good stuff and they’ve been keeping me sane. What they tend to do (and on every raqdio station really) is pick a few songs and play them to death. Not In Love is one of those songs on Phantom (along with Derezzed and Me and the Moon) but I still love it.
So I dunno what I’m tryna say here but this is great song, and another great album from Crystal Castles.
