Hey,

Just a quick little thing:
Today, at work, my father was challenged to a dance off.
He’ll be dancing for his life tomorrow. I’ll keep you updated.
John Murray's take on Hoppípolla -
So there was this segment on foreign language music on the radio and if you need to sing in English to have a “big hit” etc.. So some clips of songs were played and John Murray and some other guy (Jim Carroll) discussed them. One of the songs was Hoppípolla by Sigur Rós and they gave their take on that… then they start chatting about Gangnam Style and lots of other things.
Kind of interesting, anyway, the Sigur Rós thing is at about 5 minutes.
At the end there they made a comment about the lack of Irish language music which is a bit sad tbh. I mean there is some but not a great deal.
Sometimes I buy vinyl.
Go to Iceland in March they said, it will be spring they said

I transcribed today’s interview with Georg from BBC 6 Music for Kevin, since he can’t listen to it. I guess maybe it only works in the UK? Anyhow!
Stuart Maconie: Sigur Rós and Gobbledigook, and I’m delighted to say that Georg from Sigur Rós…?
Georg: Yes.
SM: Is that right? All my life, or rather that portion of it when I’d heard your music, I’ve wondered if that’s the right pronunciation.
G: Well, in Iceland we say “Sigur Rós” .
SM: “Sigur Rós?”
G: Yes, so there’s a soft “s” at the end.
So Kjartan Sveinsson is off studying composition and that sort of thing. That’s good news, if he starts composing more stuff like Credo (or even not at all like that) I’ll be very happy.
